We could stare at Kayla Yestal's photos of Danielle & Pete's styled engagement session all day long. It just doesn't get better than a grey tulle maxi skirt, gorgeous stationery, an ombre bouquet, and lots of visible love between this happy couple.

It's always such a joy to photograph milestones for a couple. Even more of a joy, though, is photographing those same moments for friends. Danielle and I have known each other since the age of fourteen when we met in a shared class in the ninth grade. It is so surreal to me to think that on the day we met, I had no idea that I would witness such huge parts of her life. I watched her begin to fall in love with Pete just a few short years later, saw them continue to fall in love on dinner dates at the Keg when I was waitressing my way through college, felt my heart jump out of my chest when I saw them announce their engagement on Instagram, and now have had the insane honour of being their wedding photographer and photographing these engagement photos at the incredible Beamer Falls Manor in Niagara. When it came time to plan their engagement session, we teamed up with Danielle Shaw of Shaw Events to plan a perfectly elegant session only a few weeks before their wedding day! Having this time together so close to the wedding was the perfect excuse for them to escape their wedding planning for an evening, spend a day together, and really allowed everything to sink in! Danielle planned everything so beautifully, from the subtle blue tones in the handwritten love quotes from Spurle Gul Studio, to the same tones carried in Danielle's stunning Alexandra Grecco skirt. It was a perfect reflection of them as a couple, while really showcasing the talents of all of the vendors involved.
