With a little imagination and a lot of hard work, we love how a wedding can so wonderfully transform a space like a farmer’s market where you normally buy fresh produce and cheeses and bundles of cut flowers!

From Beth:

‘Alex and Brad were to be married in the fall of 2020, at a beautiful venue in Ancaster, but when the pandemic altered their plans, the couple decided to postpone their original date to January 15th of 2021. As the Holiday season approached, it became clear that lockdown restrictions would alter their plans again. A last minute decision resulted in an entirely new wedding date, new venue, and newly acquired vendors to pull a beautiful wedding together in only 8 days.

Even though the timeline was compressed, Brad and Alex made sure that everyone had FUN on their wedding day. Champagne popped and beer flowed all morning as they got ready and prepared to travel to Niagara on the Lake to capture photos of the groom's hometown and visit favourite hangouts such as the NOTL golf course, the arena where the groom and his groomsmen grew up playing hockey, and some of the towns historic landmarks.

The Market Square was chosen as the couples ceremony location as it provided a beautiful, and airy backdrop with plenty of room for their intimate guest list of 50 to safely socially distance. It was also quite special to the bride and her family as her father, who worked for the City of St. Catharines, was involved in the initial planning of The Market Square community space.

The Blue Mermaid Seafood and Steakhouse is a long time favourite restaurant of the groom's family. The grooms parents enjoyed their first date at this classic Niagara restaurant and many Neudorf family celebrations have been enjoyed there since. Considering the location and ties to the groom's family, it couldn't have been a more perfect reception space for Brad and Alex to begin their new chapter together. As the evening came to an end, surrounded by friends and family, the newlyweds celebrated their beautiful day with a sparkler sendoff in the Market Square.’
