What should a client consider when researching your specialty?
There are a lot of things to consider when booking your wedding day hair and makeup team! We try to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible by providing checklists, suggestions for best results. how to prepare for your trial and wedding day, etc. Our recommendation is to search for a company who provides the type of makeup and hairstlyes you like. Some companies are more "Full Glam" and some companies lean towards a more "Soft Glam" or "Natural" look (this is where Freebird Beauty Co. falls). Read reviews, read the FAQs on the company's website and check out their instagram page. If their style of hair/makeup resonates with you, reach out and start the discussion!
How far in advance should a client reach out to you when planning a wedding or special event?
Our clients book us about 10-18 months in advance, on average. If you're getting married during Wedding Season (May to October), you may need to book sooner than later because those dates are more popular than the cooler months.
Is there anything a client should bring with them when attending a consultation?
We love when our clients bring a hair and/or makeup inso photo and can tell us their preferences for hair & makeup styles. If a bride is having a hair trial, we recommend bringing any hair accessories/vel/hair extensions if she is choosing to wear those. For makeup, the client doesn't need to bring anything (unless they have certain products they'd like to use (due to allergies or sensitivities, or if they already have a lip colour they'd like to use). Please let our team know if any allergies or sensitivities to hair/makeup products before your appointment, thank you!
How should a client budget for your services?
Is there a typical range they should keep in mind and are there some industry tips that can make their budget go farther?
Our average bridal client spends around $500-$600 with us (for just the bride) between the trial and the wedding day. Wedding attendants spend around $200-$300 per person with our services.
