ROYAL KING EVENT CENTRE WEDDING IN TORONTO // F10 STUDIO
Taking inspiration from the season, Tosin and Deion planned their wedding with summer in mind — “We wanted a breath of fresh air type of wedding, light colours and bright white. We wanted something inviting.” This week, we bring you a classic Royal King Event Centre Wedding in Toronto.
Toronto Wedding Photographer, Michael, from F10 Studio shares with us an interview for this week’s featured couple, Tosin and Deion.
Where are you both from? Tosin is Nigerian Canadian and Deion is also Canadian with a Bajan Background.
Do you mind sharing a bit of your love story and how you started your journey together? Tosin: We crossed paths in our church. We went to different locations but we were a part of the same fellowship. I was going to Church 180 Mississauga while he was going to Church 180 Whitby. We have thousands of our churches around the world, with a good number around the GTA/Canada. It was a late 2021 Church Conference where we first locked eyes and the inquiry into who the other person was, began for both of us. We eventually began Courtship in August of 2022 and the rest is history.
What was your vision for your wedding day? Pure bliss! We simply wanted a nicely put together wedding and for all my guests to enjoy themselves! We wanted the weather to cooperate and not a single thing to go wrong (very optimistic we were). We wanted to ensure we included both the Canadian white wedding and the Nigerian culture.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme or colour scheme? Summer! We wanted a breath of fresh air type of wedding, light colours and bright white/crystal. We wanted something inviting. We lost out on one aspect of the crystal with our reception chairs as they gave us the wrong chairs.
Can you describe the wedding ceremony and any special traditions or rituals you included? Tosin: Our ceremony was so special! In our church, the ceremony gets woven into the usual Sunday morning service, with an emphasis on the wedding and the correlation to the way Christ loves the Church. We got to enjoy a worship service and pray together at the altar. Hands down, it was my favourite part of the entire wedding day.
What were your favourite moments from your wedding day?
- The ceremony especially the song service/worship
- Saying ‘I Do’
- Seeing our family and friends as we during our reception entrance
- Taking the wedding photos
Can you describe your wedding dress and suit? How did you choose your wedding attire? Deion: The suit was always going to be some kind of white/ivory. We went from Moore’s to a personal tailor to another suit designer until we finally landed on a suit. The jacket had a slightly raised floral design with subtle hints of gold woven into the fabric. It could only be seen up close.
Tosin: The dress was hard to settle on. All she knew was she wanted a fit and flare dress, but the upper design was unclear. Eventually, we found the perfect one that matched her personality. A mix of subtle but sweet, the neckline was a whimsical floral design that formed a heart in the middle, with little pearl beads at the centre of each flower.
How did you choose your wedding venue? What made it special to you? We chose the venue based on location but also because we had known about it before.
What did you look forward to the most on your wedding day? Going home at the end of it all!
