I love history and the elegance that was in royal courts of times past. In selecting my colours and linens I kept this in mind and went with lots of lace, gold and sage greens with ornate candelabras for the centrepieces.I wanted my dress to tie in with the venue and decor so I went with a Moscato coloured gown with a detailed lace bodice and lace overlay. I choose Queens Landing because I felt it reflected the elegance I was wanting to portray. All of the details from the pillars at the entrance to the details in the Atrium to the gorgeous ballroom all helped set the tone. Queens landing has a beautiful historic feel. My favourite wedding moment was when we did our first look. It was a special time with just the two of us and I loved seeing the expression on his face when he turned around. My advice for engaged couples is to do your research about what you like and want and to plan ahead! I had most things done and finalized 6-8 months in advance so I wasn't feeling stressed as we approached the big day!
