We love the story from the bride about what this wedding day so special and unique for her and her new husband!

‘How many of your features have had snacks delivered at the altar?? We knew we wanted our wedding day experience to be fun, easy, and delicious - and that’s exactly how the day unfolded, thanks to our dedicated wedding planner, Mallory. We knew our first look in the courtyard at the White Oaks Resort & Spa would be more comical than romantic; Steve knew well in advance that I’d hardly be able to do something romantic and occasion-appropriate, and we were already both laughing before he’d even turned around for my big reveal. There were a few beautiful moments captured before we had to bolt from the courtyard, thanks to my fear of bees. One of our foundational values as a couple is delicious food experiences, and having gotten the advice repeatedly from already-married couples to ‘not forget to eat at the wedding’, we made sure that food was a focus for the day. During the vows, Steve said “I promise to keep you fed,” and then signaled to the waiting server to bring me a shrimp cocktail at the altar. Not only was it so uniquely us and a laugh-out-loud moment for our guests, but it was also one of the only things that made me tear up all day.

While placing our acrylic-engraved vows in the Love Letter Wine Box made by Steve’s brother-in-law, Mark, it was fun to overhear my girlfriends whispering to one another, guessing which princess my gown was based on, since they knew it came from the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum collection. I very maturely whispered back over “I’m Belle!” as we signed the marriage license. The musical duo of Brent and Sarah from Brent Miller Live made the event so unique and fun with keyboard-and-cello renditions of Gold Digger, Heartbreaker, and Kiss the Girl. Our personal favourite was when he played a lovely classical-inspired version of the Super Mario Bros. theme song on the piano, leaving many of the guests with that familiar feeling of recognizing the song, but not actually being sure that’s what they were indeed hearing.’
