Today we are officially bidding farewell to summer with a Positano-inspired celebration planned + designed by Swish List Member, Amanda Cowley. Bellisimo!

From the planner + designer, Amanda Cowley:

“When my client reached out to me in July to help her plan a very special birthday celebration within 10 days, I couldn’t pass up the chance to get creative and do something inspiring. Her hope was to capture the essence of summer and the joy, colours, and energy it brings with it, and what better way to embrace those feelings, than with a coastal Italian design as our guiding theme.

With the foundation of the event centered around the decadence of the citrus and flowers, I called on Melanie of Lush Florals to push the boundaries of her comfort levels (which she happily did) and think outside the table. The hope was that guests’ eyes would move from the top of the awning they would dine under, to the flagstone floor beneath them, wrapping them in comfort and beauty at sweet Cherry Hill Club. Lemons hung from the greenery canopy, candles flickered at eye level warming everyone’s faces as the daylight faded; fresh blooms intentionally filled the width and breadth of the entire setting.

Sweet Celebrations ensured no sweet tooth was left unsatisfied with a lemon curd + fresh raspberry cake that was as pretty to look at as it was delicious to eat. Layer upon layer of Simply Beautiful Decor treasures provided every opportunity to embrace the Italian theme, from the crystal cut glassware to the bold dinnerware and the soft linen touches in between.

As a result of all the combined efforts that hot August night, we ended up with an opportunity for Aaron + Tara Photography to perfectly capture if only for an evening, a moment where the wine country of Italy and Niagara, could come together in a magical, summery way.
