'It only took one short trip down the cherry tree lined drive at the grounds of one of Niagara's most darling hidden gems, to feel as if we were transported to the salty-air and pastel sunset skies of Cape Cod.
If Cherry Hill Club had to be summed up into one word, the only fitting choice that comes to mind, is charming. The impressive exterior with a combination of cedar shake, flagstone covered ivy, gabled dormers, bay windows and awning covered entry, only further prepares you for its equally fitting interior.
The grand foyer welcomes you with period wall coverings and a French door entrance to the main ballroom, teeming with board and batten details, large fireplaces, window seats for cozy chatter, and an expansion of glass doors to step out onto the veranda for a view of the impeccable course -- it's simply luxury golf and country club at its finest.
With so much inspiration provided by the club itself, our team knew we had to stay true to the authentic vibe we were picking up. Immediately we were dreaming of palettes of soft blue, crisp white, dove grey and pale peach, focusing on textures like linen and bamboo, picturing ourselves at an intimate wedding on a summer evening along the shores of Nantucket.
The greatest take-away from this shoot was allowing the location to provide the story our team was honoured to tell that spring day. It's amazing how easily really lovely details can come together when you stay true to the authenticity of the space you work in, almost transporting you to another time and place. And if you're really lucky, that place could be a sweet little spot in Niagara that feels a lot like Cape Cod.' -Amanda Cowley Events
