A short description of your venue and weddings: We are one of the most unique wedding locations in Canada - ceremonies on a sailboat! We offer full service, intimate ceremonies on a 39' boat operating off the beautiful Niagara shores at Port Dalhousie. Weddings with Niagara Nautico include three hours on the water, light catering, professional photography and, of course, your legal ceremony (performed by the Captain, who is also a licensed officiant).
How long have you been hosting weddings at your venue? 2024 is our second year in operation.
What makes your venue unique? Imagine getting married on the deck of a beautiful black sailboat, with the sun setting over Lake Ontario in the background!
What types of couples get married at your venue? Adventurous couples looking for something different and new. Our ceremonies are small (with up to 8 guests, including the couple to be married), making them an intimate and incredibly memorable experience.
What great wedding trends are you seeing this year or for next year? The continuing trend towards smaller, more affordable weddings is helping a lot of young couples save for things like a big reception, an extended honeymoon, or a down payment on a house.
What services do you offer at your venue that set you apart (included or not included in your base package)? In addition to our standard wedding package, we can offer upgraded videography (including drone footage), catering from a famous Niagara on the Lake chef, and upgraded decorations. Our boat is beautiful and your wedding will be even more so, but if you're looking to add a little extra luxe to your nautical ceremony, we've got you covered.
