A short description of what you do: Red Bicycle Paper Co. is a custom wedding stationery studio helping engaged lovebirds design their dream wedding stationery!

How long have you been working in the wedding industry? 10 years.

What makes your business unique? I meet with all of my clients in-person (working on a virtual process), with a detailed and fun process to keep stress away, and bring the fun back to wedding planning tasks! With 10 years experience working exclusively in wedding stationery, I know a thing or two about proper wording etiquette, and creative ways to produce gorgeous stationery without blowing a budget!

Favourite part of your business? Oh, this is a tough one! If I had to choose a single favourite, it's seeing my couples design come to life from our consultation chat through to production. Holding that final invitation suite in my hands, and anticipating my couples reaction is my favourite thing!

What inspires you? I'm inspired a lot by my couples personalities. I believe that custom invitations and stationery should be more than just picking a design from a pre-designed catalogue. We should have fun during the process, and inject some personality and character into the invitations that give guests a sneak peek into a couples wedding. Having stationery that makes people say "this is SO them!" is my ultimate goal!

Who is your mentor/hero in the industry? (your own industry or the Niagara wedding industry) Sibylle at Hubbub Paper Co. in Cambridge, Ontario is my mentor and hero. When I first approached Sibylle on Instagram about 5 years ago, I was inquiring about her letterpress printing service. She welcomed me into her studio and taught me about the letterpress and foil process. Hubbub Paper Co. now looks after all of my production and Sibylle has become one of my best friends!

On your day off, where would we find you? Oh gosh... in a perfect world, I'd be sipping Starbucks while Ed Sheeran or Michael Buble serenade me! But, usually I'm with my kids learning about the games they're playing, out for dinner with my husband, or at home watching a true crime documentary of some sort!

If you weren’t a wedding vendor, what would be your dream job? If I wasn't a Stationista, I'd likely be working as a social worker, or for a non-profit. Helping people has been a huge passion of mine, and I do small bits through volunteering with local non-profits, but in another life, I'd definitely jump in full-time to it!

What great wedding trends are you seeing this year? Bows, bows and more bows! I'm also seeing a lot of colour, which is refreshing! Bright colours, and jewel tones are big this year. And thankfully, black and white is still going strong, which is a testament to it's classic staying power!

Do you have any practical advice for couples planning a wedding? Don't forget that you have to invite your guests to your wedding...with an invitation! Aside from that, take your time, hire the people who connect with you, and know their stuff because it will allow your wedding planning process to be stress-free and enjoyable! And lastly, on your wedding day, don't forget to eat, stay hydrated, and enjoy every moment because it goes by in a flash!
