FALL WEDDING AT THE CLUB ROMA PAVILION IN ST. CATHARINES // PHILOSOPHY STUDIOS

There's something undeniably magical about autumn weddings. The crisp air, the stunning foliage, and the cozy ambiance all come together to create a truly unforgettable day. Kaitlyn and Kevin’s wedding day at Club Roma in St. Catharines was stunning, complete with rich, romantic, berry tones and an outdoor ceremony set against the majestic oranges, yellows, and reds of the changing leaves.

How long had you and your partner been together prior to your wedding? We had celebrated 6 years together 14 days before we got married!

How did you feel the morning of your wedding? Surprisingly calm!

What drew you to your venue? The outdoor space was stunning, and the inside was unique. The staff were super friendly.

After choosing your wedding venue, did it impact the direction you took for styling and decor? Yes - I had originally viewed myself having a rustic style wedding however that changed once I saw the venue set up for weddings the same timeframe as mine.

What inspired your colour scheme? Fall! I love fall.

How difficult was it to decide on your colour scheme? It was very difficult. I went back and forth on the colours and everything.

Were your florals exactly how you imagined them? Yes! They were amazing.

Did you incorporate any personal accents into your day? If so, what and why? My husband loves McDonald’s so we had late night McDonald’s burgers.

How did you include those who couldn’t be with you on your special day? We had signs on the table of the family that belonged to those who passed. My wedding bouquet had a charm of my grandma, and I bought my dad a matching pin.

Did the day go according plan? For the most part!

Did you hire a wedding planner? No. Club Roma provided a day-of coordinator.

Would you have done anything differently planning-wise? Yes and no. I would have paid more attention to the little details, but not stressed them as much. I also would have had decor done way earlier.

Did you take on any project(s) of your own that you wish you had hired a professional for?
(ie. making your own cake, florals, invitations, etc)
Yes! I did my own seating chart, and a few other signs. The day before part of the seating chart broke - it was chaotic. Same with the dinner the night before.

What advice would you give to a couple who are in the process of planning their wedding?

Take it piece by piece. Don’t let others change what you want or your vision. Everyone has an opinion, so it’s easier if you and your partner just decide between the two of you. The price adds up quickly, but you only get one day. Plan a portion of time to be just the two of you on the big day. It goes by so quickly that you don’t get the time just the two of you during it all.
