From Jade of Mint and Magnolia: ‘Nicole and Ryan were high school sweethearts and got engaged in 2018 but decided on a longer engagement because they were building their dream house. Their wedding was initially planned for May of 2020 but (thanks COVID) was postponed. A lot changed over the year and they altered their plans entirely and decided to host an intimate wedding on their property. Keeping it as small as possible, they only invited immediate family and their wedding parties. Their ceremony took place on their back lawn overlooking their family fields.

I wanted to make their ceremony spot extra special for them by creating a full floral archway. Your wedding flowers can be the key to making a backyard wedding extra special by elevating the space you enjoy day to day. We also knew this arch would be repurposed after the ceremony behind the head table, inside their garage and it definitely helped to transform that spot too. I often suggest to couples who are struggling on what they want for their wedding flowers to focus on (one or two) large statement pieces and allocate a good amount of your budget to them but also use them in both your ceremony and reception spaces (if time and venue logistics allow for it).
