With the changing of the times we love seeing how couples are capable of adapting when it comes to their wedding celebrations. Elopements have become such a beautiful way to get back to the intimacy of a wedding, and a winter elopement tucked away in the coziness of a snowy cottage really takes things to the next level.

‘The Inspiration Centred around creating a stunningly styled ‘elopement’, this was a gorgeous blend of dreamy boho and rustic styles; with gorgeous blooms, lush foliage, and soft candlelight. Micro style weddings are an incredible and intimate wedding option when you want to elope or share your wedding with a very select few. We had the pleasure of working with the talented Eva of Philosophy Studios on a private cottage property in Gooderham, Ontario to create this elopement shoot using neutral tone colours and being outdoors as our main source of inspiration. Our Groom is a hockey player, so it was the perfect opportunity to spend time an afternoon on the lake and do a lifestyle session before tying the knot! Using a private property cottage, allowed for breathtaking views over Gooderman Lake and lush greenery around the property to make this space feel both private and warm. When planning this mini elopement at this amazing location, it was the perfect spot to show what can be done in a short amount of time with minimum guests plus the Bride and Groom. Lindsay Plank Events wanted to show that a Micro Wedding is a great opportunity to be unique and personal and really focus on the areas and things that matter to the couple.’
