The Vineyard Bride Guide | Style Review: Ceremony Backdrops
If you’re new to the Vineyard Bride blog, welcome, we’re so happy you’ve found us!
A while back we introduced a new series to the blog called The Vineyard Bride Guide, a series that showcases the various components a couple will encounter during their wedding planning process, arming readers with the tools, tips + tricks to ease the stress of maneuvering these details and make the planning journey a joyful one.
Today we’re excited to share the first Style Review within our series, as we focus on cermony backdrops today! With endless inspiration at the fingertips of bride’s planning their big day, we wanted to breakdown some of the styles/trends we see most in our features here on Vineyard Bride. Be sure to let us know what resonates most with you!
Macrame
A newer trend that seems to always impress is the use of macrame tapestries to create and define the ceremony space! We love how it’s a choice that can be repurposed in the couple’s home as a reminder of their big day — a win/win!
Floral Hoops
It goes without saying, as soon as you add a floral component to a ceremony structure you are going to create a unique moment. There’s something appropriate about the hoop used for this beach wedding; creating a framed picture-perfect view straight through to the water, it’s romantic and unique and we love it!
Soft + Romantic
Soft, draped, lush, romantic; this look is always going to be a forever classic! Use this design outdoors with flowing chiffon to add a non-natural moment to your ceremony, or bring it indoors and adorn with florals to bring the warmth of nature inside. You can’t go wrong.
Architectural + Bohemian
For the couple looking to inspire and standout, an architectural focalpoint really does the trick. We’ve seen pyramid shapes, squares, even hexagon moments and they always make you stop to take pause! The pairing of this triangle option along with the dense florals and the soft rug are just a match made in design heaven.
Canopy
Another fun option if you’re thinking outside the box! We love how this design creates a small cove for the couple to stand, and how they used it as a backdrop for images after the ceremony. You could anchor the piece with layered rugs or floor cushions to really bring in that bohemian breath of fresh air.
