VENDOR SPOTLIGHT // TRUVI BEAUTY + CO.
We are chatting with Anna in today’s Spotlight Feature on Truvi Beauty & Co.! A longtime Swish List member, we adore Anna’s kindness and commitment to the Niagara wedding industry. Hello, Anna!
A short description of what you do: I am a skin expert, brow queen, and, skincare formulator of a highly coveted skincare line called Truvi Beauty. My studio includes fellow team members that pride themselves on exquisite services. We provide in-studio hair styling and makeup for all formal events and commercial needs as well, along with the capacity to be mobile.
How long have you been working in the wedding industry? I have been in the industry for 2+ decades.
What makes your business unique? Our uniqueness is that we are also skin specialists that recognize and help the client with skin correcting services prior to applying makeup work for their wedding day. Our team of stylist are always keeping up with masterclasses to be sure that they are styling with all the latest trends.
Favourite part of your business? I love designing brows and custom facials, both are very important to me.
What inspires you? The beauty of simplicity; there is something intriguing about simple elegance. I am always inspired by the designers that put forward their creations (from flowers to gowns, in speaking about weddings), that keeps my eye looking more to the fine details when presented less "complicated".
Who is your mentor/hero in the industry? (your own industry or the Niagara wedding industry) I can’t honestly answer this as I have so many, but what I can say is that I love how the industry has evolved and that I see all genres now coming together. It seems that we all pulled what has inspired us to where the industry is today.
On your day off...where would we find you? Hmmm good one: meeting up with a friend for breakfast at The Prince or in my office planing for what’s to come in the week/month. Or, just hanging at home organizing life for Tony , the girls and me.
If you weren't a wedding vendor, what would be your dream job? I'm living it as we speak — in the industry of skincare, formulation, and, developer, and loving every minute.
Do you have any practical advice for couples planning a wedding? Enjoy! Plan to have the guests at your celebration that you know and love, and yes, hire professionals. From hair & makeup team to your videographer and photographer, years to come you will be so happy that you did.
